On this project we did exactly that by removing the two walls that separated the kitchen from the main living space. Take a look at the entire transformation!

Do you dream of an open, bright and functional kitchen, but feel like you don't have the space for it? SCC can help you design and acquire the kitchen of your dreams using the space that you already have. This project is a perfect example how it is possible to have that open and bright kitchen that you dream of, without having to build on to your house. We removed an existing wall, installed a steal beam to support the house and used the dinning room space to extend the kitchen.

Although beautiful, this kitchen was on the verge of becoming worn out and cosmetically outdated. We brought it up to date by replacing the heavy dark features with much lighter and brighter ones. The beautiful white subway tile, the Alaska white granite, the dove colored cabinets and the new lighting brightened the space immensely. By moving the microwave from the wall to the island and by adding the hood vent followed with the backsplash to the ceiling, we gave this kitchen a spacious and airy feel. We also installed an unique feature above the stove, the pot filler, for easy access to water. Last but not least the new bamboo hardwood floors throughout the main level contrast beautifully with the kitchen giving it an elegant and clean look.
